Our data recovery service for Microsoft Windows® PCs is the best way to get back your lost data. It doesn’t matter if you’ve lost your personal photos or company spreadsheets, we can help.
We’ve been recovering data from PCs since DOS & Windows 3.1, and can get data back from Windows 95, 98, ME, NT, XP, Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, & Windows 10.
Improve your chances
For the best chance of recovery you need to follow a few simple steps. First, shutdown the PC straight away. Don’t download any recovery software onto the drive. Even browsing the internet or checking emails causes data to get written to the disk. If you write any data to a failing drive, it can overwrite your important user data. Don’t run Scandisk, Checkdisk or Defragmenter as they can cause major unrecoverable problems if used on an unstable hard drive. The first priority is to copy the data to another drive before you try to fix anything.
When a hard drive fails, you sometimes get one chance to extract the data. You don’t want to waste that chance. We treat every drive as if it is our one and only chance to get the data. With that in mind, we aim to get off as much data, as fast and as safely as possible.
If we recover data from your PC we can supply the files on an external drive which you can then use for future backups.
You may need Windows Data Recovery if you see any of these on screen
- Black / grey / blue screen instead of computer booting
- Endless loop of the Microsoft Windows logo animation
- Startup Repair
- “Missing Operating System” Error on a black screen
- “Non-System Disk” Error or “Disk Error” During startup or boot in Windows XP
Also listen out for any clicking, ticking or grinding sounds. These can indicate a physical hard drive problem which could get a lot worse if you continue to power the drive.
We can recover data from PC hard drives that have failed from
- Electronic damage
- Water / fire damage
- Drops / falls
- Firmware faults
- Component failure / deterioration

If the data is recoverable, we can recover it.
